Kountry Krafts

The Kountry Krafts home decor gift shop owned by Jean & Jim Richards was located north of Wapsie High School on Viking Ave. Jean’s creative talent designed gift items of all types. Customers could also find her as a vendor at locals craft fairs. Jim constructed multiple buildings for Jean to add her magic touch with eye pleasing displays.

Twice a year, during the last weekend of April/first week of May and the last weekend of September/first weekend of October customers looked forward to an Open House with 35 consignors. Additional buildings and the grounds were filled to the brim with handmade gift items.

Kountry Kraft store was in operation from June 1996 to December 2011.
